Stewart A. Sattler
Pine River, WI
age 82 - passed away peacefully on August 26, 2011 at Juliette Manor in Berlin. Stewart was born in the Town of Poy Sippi on July 24, 1929, and born again into the Body of Christ through Holy Baptism on August 18, 1929. He was the son of the late Leonard and Ida (Lucht) Sattler. He confirmed his Baptismal blessing at Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church - Poy Sippi on July 26, 1942. On November 11, 1956, Stewart married Lucille M. Marschke in Auroraville and she preceded him in death on June 1, 2001. He farmed in Pine River his entire life and was a faithful member of Emmaus.
Stewart is survived by his children; Peter (Elizabeth) Sattler of Pine River, Susan (Roger) Kramer of Fremont, Jennifer (Michael) Darnick of Prescott, AZ, and Steven Sattler of Mt. Morris, ten grandchildren; Chris, Emily, and Sam Sattler, Thomas, Ruth, Angela, and William Kramer III, Dominic (Gwyn), Katie, and Liberty Darnick, one great grandchild; Dimitri Darnick, and his brother; Eugene (Doris) Sattler of Pine River. He is further survived by nieces and nephews. Stewart was preceded in death by his wife Lucille, his parents, and sisters; Eleanor (Clayton) Hanson and Dolores (Raymond) Werner.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church in Poy Sippi, WI with Rev. Mark R. Meier, Sr., officiating. Burial will follow in the Brushville Cemetery, Town of Bloomfield. A visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church and again on Monday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. A memorial has been established to Emmaus Ev. Lutheran Church - Poy Sippi in the name of Stewart Sattler. The Holly Funeral Home of Poy Sippi, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
Stewart was a quiet, peaceful man with an undying love for farming, his wife and his children, but above all his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who offers eternal life in the Resurrection.
