Stuart "Stu" P. Steffens' Obituary
Stuart (Stu) Paul Steffens, age 70, of Saxeville, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully at home on June 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Stu found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid fisherman and, in his younger years, enjoyed bird hunting alongside his beloved golden retrievers. Whether casting a line, taking a boat ride, cruising on the golf cart, seeing a movie, or sitting on the front porch watching the birds, his favorite moments were those spent with family and his furry companion, Chumley.
He was the son of the late Howard and Janice Steffens. Stu is survived by his wife, Carol; his children, Nichole Rothaupt (Michael) and Grant Steffens-Hodgkins (Tori); and his grandchildren, who brought him great joy and loved him dearly.
A special thank you to his sister, Lyn, for the time she spent with Stu, the close bond they shared, and the kindness, support, and compassion she provided throughout his journey.
The family would also like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the hospice team and the Saxeville Fire Department for their care, which brought comfort to Stu at home.
A private family burial will be held. No formal services are planned.
Stu will be remembered for his humor, his entrepreneurship, his stories, and the genuine way he connected with others. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
