Susan Dawn Erickson (Shriver), 55, of Amherst peacefully ended her struggle with liver cancer and began her journey into the heavens during the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 27, 2010. She passed away with her children Read Obituary
I did'nt know of Sue's passing until this month in 2024. Sue and I met at the Ramada Inn in 1978 where we were cocktail waitresses in the Rough Rider Lounge. She was my best friend. We traveled to La Jolla, Ca. to visit with my sister. Had a great time, swam in rivers and oceans. She was my rock in those younger years, I wish I had known. Sincerely Shann Bean
Mythoughts and prayers go out to Sues entire family. I had worked many years ago with Sue at Rice Clinic. We stayed in touch for a number of years after shw went to work at the hospital but unfortunately did loose touch. I had no idea Sue was battling cancer. Last time I ran into Sue was about 2 years ago. She always had a smile on her face. She truly was a special person.
I was so sad to hear the news of Sue's passing. I graduated with Sue from Bay View and have a lot of great memories of that time in our lives. My deepest sympathy to Sue's children and her entire family. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Sandy Guinta

I was so sorry to hear of Susans struggle with cancer. My thoughts and prayers are with her family. Tom and I want to express our deepest condolences. We haven't seen Sue in years but we have many happy memories of the times we shared together. We will never forget her.

I was saddened to read about Sue's passing. Accept my condolences. Our last chance meeting in an airport reminded me of her vigor and love of life, it was a joy to see and spend time with her. I am confident that she touched and influenced others in that same powerful way. I was fortunate to have shared my pre-teen and teenage years with her. She was a blessing. I'm saddened to hear of Sue's passing. She was always a bright, lively, and friendly person. Even if I hadn't seen Sue for years she made me feel like it was just a few days, as we caught up with each other. I remember her from B.V. Methodist Church and being Vicki's younger sister, trying to hang around with the older girls. Hold on to your best memories; she will never be far from you.

Your mother sounded like such a wonderful person ... I am sorry I really did not get to know her, however I believe our paths have crossed. The commitment and love that you passed on to her -- spending time with her in her last days here was the greatest gift you and your siblings could give her. Please know that my thoughts are with you as you all savor those precious memories of the life you spent with her. My mother also passed away this year, through my Mom I really understood the meaning of loving life to its fullest and loving the people, places, our natural world, and the time we have together.
