Susan M. Hansen's Obituary
Susan Marie Hansen, age 69, passed away on the morning of May 19, 2022 at Crossroads Care Center in Weyauwega. Sue was born on February 22, 1953 in Hillpoint, WI, the daughter of Marvin and Mary Hart. At the age of five her family moved to Reedsburg to settle down and build a home. Growing up Sue enjoyed her playful dachshund’s Pokey and Tiny. During High School she was a waitress at Curly’s Pizza Parlor. Soon after High School she moved to the Wautoma / Wild Rose area where she continued to work as a waitress at Silvercryst Supper Club. She had many jobs throughout her life. Her career in the building and construction industry included working on various projects such as the Columbia Correctional Institution, a bridge company and the Wisconsin Veterans Home. Sue later became a part owner / operator of Wally’s World as well as an automotive paint sales business in King, WI. Sue married Jim J. Hansen on May 30, 1992 in Lake Tahoe, NV. She was known for her friendly, fun-loving spirit and busy social calendar which included boating on the Chain O’ Lakes, bowling, hosting the annual Wally’s pig roast and gatherings of friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her father, Marvin, brother Tom and Larry, husband Jim. Survivors include her mother Mary, brother Rick (Sue), son Lee (Laurie), daughter Lisa, nephew Nate (Jessica), nephew Matthew. She also leaves behind 5 grandchildren: Layla, Ayden, Brody, Carlee and Eli.
Per Sue’s wishes, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. We are grateful for the care that Mom received over the past several years at Crossroads and also want to thank the staff at Holly Funeral Home.
