Susan Jane Mihna
Waupaca, WI Age 29 - died very unexpectedly on Sunday, May 10, 2009 at the Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. She was born on March 19, 1980 in Appleton, WI, the daughter of Theodore Mihna and Terry Smith. Susan is survived by her fiancé, Peter Rashke, her son, Ivan Theodore Rashke, her step-son, Alex Ralph Rashke, her father, Theodore Mihna of Ogdensburg, her mother, Terry “Annie” Nicewander of Waupaca, a half-brother, Eric Nicewander of Waupaca, a half-sister, Sarah Nicewander of Waupaca, and her grandparents, Steve and Joyce Mihna of Waupaca. She is also survived by Peter’s parents, Guy and Elizabeth Rashke of Waupaca, and Peter’s grandfather, Donald Rashke in Texas. She is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Susan was a 1999 graduate of Waupaca High School. She enjoyed all sports, and she had played basketball and soccer throughout high school. She also enjoyed speed skating. She and Peter enjoyed betting between themselves on many sporting events. She especially enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Bulls. She had been employed with the Ebel Woodworking Company in Scandinavia where she was involved in making tables and doors for yachts. Susan lived for her son and step-son, and enjoyed any time she could spend with her children, her nieces, and her nephew. A funeral service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at 4:00 PM. A visitation will be held on Sunday afternoon from 2:00 – 4:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in the name of Susan Jane Mihna. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
