Thomas Bodenheimer Sr.'s Obituary
Thomas C. (Bodie) Bodenheimer Sr., age 62, of Waupaca, passed away Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Appleton Medical Center following a battle with cancer. Bodie was born in Waupaca on March 4, 1946 the son of the late Herbert and Evelyn (Stinemates) Bodenheimer. He worked for many years in the sporting goods industry as a buyer and sales representative. On August 6, 1966, Tom married Sandra Graf in Marshfield. He is a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Bodie is survived by his wife: Sandra Bodenheimer, Waupaca, his children: Thomas (Nicole) Bodenheimer Jr., Waupaca and Kim (Tim) Smith, Elgin, IL; his grandchildren: Hudson & Maggie Bodenheimer; Brock & Kaylee Smith; his mother, Evelyn Bodenheimer of Waupaca; his brothers: William (Judy) Bodenheimer, Stevens Point and Phil (Karen) Bodenheimer, Waupaca and his sister: Nancy (Kevin) Schroeder, Waupaca, WI. Funeral Service will be on Saturday, Nov. 8 at 11 AM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with Reverend Jennifer DeNetz, officiating. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Tom's name. Tom was truly a great man and anyone who knew him would agree. A loving husband, supportive father, son, brother and friend, Tom will dearly be missed. A true lover of the outdoors, Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at his cabin. Tom could always talk to anyone and generally put a smile on their face. His sense of humor and outlook on life should be an example to all. May he rest in peace.
