Thomas H. Christensen's Obituary
Thomas H. Christensen, age 61, of Pine River, WI passed away suddenly on Monday, August 31, 2015 at ThedaCare Medical Center-Waupaca. Tom was born in Waupaca on July 14, 1954, the son of the Elwyn "Bud" and Audrey (Lick) Christensen. On August 28, 1976, Tom married Jeanne Heschke at Immanuel Ev. Lutheran Church in Waupaca. Tom worked for his father and Uncle Gary in the excavating business for a number of years before working at the Waupaca Foundry for the last 36 years before retiring. He loved camping, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He is a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church. Tom is survived by his wife: Jeanne Christensen, Pine River; his children: Mindy (Chad) Angsten, Pine River and Tony (Julie) Christensen, Waupaca; his grandchildren: Jazmine, Jackson, Stella, Brecken, Reese & Chase; his mother: Audrey Christensen, Pine River; his siblings: Jeanne (Dick) Writt, Clintonville; Jan (Pat) Enright, Waupaca and Paul Christensen, Waupaca. Also many nieces & nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his father, Elwyn "Bud" Christensen and a sister, Julie. The Christian Funeral Service will be on Saturday, September 5 at 11 AM at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Waupaca with Reverend Paul Bowe, officiating. Burial will follow in the Crystal Lake Cemetery, Town of Dayton. Visitation will be on Friday evening from 4 PM to 7 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and also on Saturday morning from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Tom's name. Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
