Thomas Cuthbert's Obituary
Thomas W. Cuthbert, age 74, of King, WI, passed away on Friday, June 15th, 2012 at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Stordock Hall, King. He was born in Cicero, IL, on January 22, 1938, a son of Gordon and Eleanor (Johnson) Cuthbert. He married Judie Lader on April 27, 1963 in Minocqua. Tom served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 until 1960. He worked for Rockwell International and Boeing from 1966 until his retirement in 1999. Tom was an avid sportsman and loved bird hunting and fishing. Tom loved genealogy and researching his and Judie's family and also for friends. He was listed in the 17th and 19th edition of Who's Who in the Midwest. Tom was a published author and had one book on the life and times of his great great grandmother, a Chippewa medicine woman and on on the Memoir of an Atomic Veteran. Tom had lived in southern California for 30 years and had recently returned to Oshkosh. He was a loving husband and father. Survivors include his Mother: Eleanor Zimmerman, Appleton, WI; Wife: Judie Cuthbert, Oshkosh, WI; Children: Scott Cuthbert, Oshkosh, WI; Amy (Greg) Sivard, California; Grandchildren: Sarah, Dylan, Andrew, Aaron, Justin, Jayson and Joseph; Sisters: Judy (Keith) Zimmerman and Doris Pich. Tom is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Gordon Cuthbert, step father, Elmer Zimmerman and a sister, Agnes. There will be a Celebration of Life held at a future date. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
