Thomas E. Falk's Obituary
Thomas E. Falk, age 72, of Manawa, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 14, 2024 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. He was born on June 6, 1952 in Washington Island, WI; son of Gilbert and Arlene (Rotter) Falk.
From an early age, Tom displayed a keen curiosity about how things worked, often taking apart his sister's dolls or any household item to understand its operation. This innate curiosity blossomed into a remarkable skill set, and Tom became a self-taught ACE mechanic specializing in diesel engines, semi-trucks, and cars.
Tom's career spanned over 30 years as an over-the-road truck driver. Throughout the years, he worked for several trucking companies, including Dushek, Ort, Klemm Gasoline and Diesel, MW Trucking, and Northshore Logistics. His dedication and hard work earned him respect and admiration from his colleagues and friends in the industry.
Tom will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends, who cherished his warmth, kindness, and the joy he brought into their lives. He is survived by his two siblings: Kenneth Falk of Ellison Bay and Francine Falk of Kimberly; former sister-in-law: Carol Falk of Sister Bay; four nieces: Laura (Brett) Reetz of Baileys Harbor, Kristen (Chris) Demarinis of Sister Bay, Jeaneen (Matt) Kimball of Neenah, and Ashley (Reid) Van Thomee of Webster; along with several great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gilbert and Arlene Falk; two brothers Richard Falk and Roger Falk; a nephew Justin Genskow; and former brother-in-law Charles “Chuck” Genskow.
Tom’s family wishes to extend their gratitude to the staff at St. Elizabeth Hospital for their compassionate care and support during his final days. A Celebration of Tom's Life will be on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 2:00 PM - 5:00 PM in the pavilion at Smith Park, 338 Cleveland Street, Menasha, WI 54952. Burial of Tom’s cremains will take place on the family plot at Washington Island Town Cemetery. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
