Thomas R. Zinda's Obituary
Thomas R. (Tommy) Zinda, age 42, of Almond, WI passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2012 surrounded by his loving family at his residence following a courageous battle with ALS. Tom was born in Stevens Point on August 26, 1969, the son of David L. and Judy (Dambroski) Zinda. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1987. On April 16, 1994 Tom married Pam Yeska at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Heffron. Tom has worked for many years at County Materials in Stevens Point. He is a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. Tom is survived by his wife: Pam Zinda, Almond; his sons: Allan, Alex and Austin; his parents: David & Judy Zinda, Amherst Jct.; his brother: David (Chris) Zinda II, Stevens Point: his father & mother-in-law: Richard & Jo Ann Yeska, Wild Rose and his brother & sister-in-laws: Jackie & Scott Thompson, Wild Rose; Rick & Diane Yeska, Wild Rose; Teresa & Ned Schaber, Wild Rose; Paula & Mike Lauer, Wautoma and Jennifer & Matt Zblewski, Amherst Jct. also many nieces & nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his sister Jody Sue and his grandparents. The Funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, January 31 at 11 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, State Hwy 54 between Plover & Waupaca with Reverend Paul Lippert & Deacon James Trzinski, officiating. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday evening from 4 to 8 PM at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst with a Rosary at 7 PM. Visitation will continue on Tuesday morning from 9:30 AM until the time of mass at the church. A Memorial Fund has been established in Tom's name. Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements. Tom touched the lives of everyone who met him. Through his generous, welcoming personality, to his contagious laugh. He loved having friends and family stop in to visit. He was a wonderful husband and father and cared deeply about his sons. We will miss you Tom!
