Thomas "Tom" W. Affayroux's Obituary
Thomas W. Affayroux, age 78 of Wild Rose, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 with his loving family by his side. Tom was born on March 3, 1947; son of the late James and Audrey (Frank) Affayroux in Milwaukee, WI. On October 13, 1967, Tom joined the United States Army serving his country during the Vietnam War. He was honored with the National Defense Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Service Medal with two bronze service stars. He was honorably discharged on August 20, 1969. Tom then worked as a quality control operator for Continental Can Company. On September 14, 1991, Tom married Susan VonGunten in King, WI. He enjoyed fishing and was a member of the VFW.
Tom is survived by his wife Susan Affayroux, children Justin (Danielle) Affayroux, Jordan (Rachel) Affayroux, Keli Poppe, Kevin (Tammy) Hollis, Kimberly Hollis, grandchildren Mason Affayroux, Madysen Affayroux, Corinne Wood, Leah (Josh) Gates, Stevey (Gage) Poppe, Quinten Jones, Taylor Poppe, great-grandchildren Khloe Gates, Cadence Gates, sister Jean Denesha, also many other relatives and friends. Tom was preceded in death by his parents and brothers Bobby and John Affayroux.
A Committal Service will be held at a later date at Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
