Age 96 - passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI. She was born on May 20, 1917 in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of William and Emma (Strauss) Porsow. She married Edward J. Flynn on May 31, 1946 in Wichita Falls, TX. He preceded her in death on March 22, 2003.
Veda is survived by a nephew, James Zierk from Brookfield, WI. Veda had been a long time resident of the Wisconsin Veterans Home, moving to the Veterans Home from Schofield, WI in 1973.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM at the Wisconsin Veterans Home - Ainsworth Hall Chapel, with Chaplain Wayne Schwanke, officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday morning from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. Interment will be in the Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in King, WI. The Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
