We met your dad a few times during our many years of family gatherings. He was always a pleasant and very knowledgeable person!

Glad to have a “last” visit on Tuesday at cards. He grinned when I told him that he was my idol living on his own and driving at 98. A full life indeed!
What a life - 98 years! What a death - drove his car to play cards one day and died the next!
He occasionally reminded me as a Lutheran minister that he was baptized Lutheran and then joined his wife's Polish National Catholic Church when they were married.
He didn't encourage me to plan a 98th birthday celebration at the Senior Center but I think he appreciated the cake, photo and publicity.
I will miss his friendship and quiet demeanor. Gene Gauerke
