Vernon J. Check's Obituary
Vernon Check, age 63, of Rosholt, WI, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. His loving family surrounded him in prayer as they gathered.
Vernon was Born on December 23, 1961, to the late Albert and Loretta (Gierszerski) Check. On November 28, 1987, he married Christine (Kuklinski) at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Polonia, WI. Together they built a warm and devoted family.
Vernon worked as a welder for 23 years at Greenheck Fan Corporation before finishing his welding career with ADC Equipment Innovations. Vernon spent the last 4 years with Riesterer & Schnell. He was known for his dedication, steady work ethic, and skilled craftsmanship. Outside of work, he found joy in hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with family and friends.
Vernon is survived by his loving wife, Christine Check of Rosholt; and their children: Matthew Check, Benjamin (Sally) Check, Kimberly Check, Elizabeth (James) Weber, Mary (Timothy) Cusack, and Margaret Check. He was a proud grandfather to Alaina Check, Ellie, Grant, and Avery Weber, and Leopold Cusack. He is further survived by many other cherished relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Vernon will be remembered for his devotion to family and the love he shared generously with those around him.
A Latin Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home in Amherst. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. with Rosary Service at 10:00 a.m. at Jungers-Holly Funeral Home. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Adalbert Catholic Cemetery in Rosholt.
