Dear Betty, I graduated from WRHS in 1955/ I never took a class with Mr. Wetherbee, but I ran around with a bunch of guys who alwqays ate our sack lunches in his classroom. Behind his gruff and sometimes intimidating exterior, we discovered the twinkle in his eyes and a snese of humor that often would transform our days. Talking this morning ewith a classmate, we both agreed that Wheat Ridge had 6-8 faculty that were truly outstanding educators and wonderful human beings. Joe Wetherbee is numbered among them. We are grateful for all the gifts he shared with us and with so many, and we join with you in mourning his passing.
