Verona Groholski's Obituary
Verona Groholski, age 88, of Plover, formerly of Amherst, passed away Saturday, May 6th, 2006 at St. Michael's Hospital in Stevens Point. She was born in the Town of Amherst, Portage County, Wisconsin on March 19, 1918, the daughter of John and Sophie (Patoka) Kropidlowski. Verona married Raymond Groholski on November 22, 1938 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church - Fancher. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1996. She is survived by Children: Germaine (Robert) Zoromski; Conrad (Mary) Groholski; Robert (Barbara) Groholski; Rose (Richard) Trebe; Grandchildren: Jim, Jody, Joan, Jane, Amy, Kurt, Scott, Todd, Tricia, Mark, Dusty and Kyle; Twenty-five Great Grandchildren; Sister: Laura (Henry) Sopa; Sister-in-law: Phyllis Kropidlowski. Verona was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; grandson, Brian; sister, Mary and her brothers, Harry and Eddie. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 9, 2006 at St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church - Fancher with Father Robert Pedretti officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary of Mt. Carmel Catholic Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until the time of the service where the St. Mary's of Mt. Carmel Rosary Society will pray the rosary at 10:00 AM. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst assisted the family with arrangements.
