Victor Hanneman's Obituary
VICTOR W. HANNEMAN
WAUPACA, WI Age 83 – passed away on Monday, September 25, 2006 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Steuben, MI in a logging camp on December 3, 1922, a son of the late William and Clara (Velte) Hanneman. He married Katheryn Peskie on November 16, 1946 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Lanark, WI. They lived in Waupaca on their farm by the Waupaca River and were happily married for 54 years until Katheryn preceded him in death on September 7, 2002. Victor was loving, thoughtful, and devoted to his family. He was well-loved and respected by his whole family. Victor was retired from Frito-Lay, Inc. in January, 1985 after 32 years. He also farmed at home. Over the years Victor enjoyed woodworking, golfing, fishing, bowling, hunting, and traveling. He most enjoyed being surrounded by family and friends, playing cards and other games. Victor is survived by two daughters: Linda (Simon) Hughes of Crowthorne, England, and Kathy Hanneman of Oak Creek, WI, a son: Dennis (Shirley) Hanneman of Waupaca, WI, eight grandchildren: Shari (Mike) Hanneman of Plover, WI, Kurt Hanneman of Oak Creek, WI, Tera Hanneman of Florence, KY, Jenny Carroll of Indianapolis, IN, Paul Hanneman of Waupaca, WI, Steven (Kristin) Colgrove of Cudahy, WI, Nathan Colgrove of Oak Creek, WI, and Patrick Colgrove of Oak Creek, WI, three great grandchildren: Brittany and Ashley Spencer of Florence, KY, and Madison Colgrove of Cudahy, WI, two sisters: Lula Brown of Waupaca, WI, and Elaine Nowak of Waupaca, WI, a brother-in-law: Carl Anderson of Beloit, WI, and two sisters-in-law: Elaine Hanneman of Weyauwega, WI, and Carmen Peskie of Waupaca, WI. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews. Victor was preceded in death by his wife: Katheryn, a daughter: Vicky Hanneman, his parents, a brother: Alfred Hanneman, and two sisters: Vivian Anderson, and infant sister: Lorraine Hanneman. A funeral mass will be held at the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca, WI on Friday, September 29, 2006 at 2:00 PM, with the Reverend Father James Vennix, officiating. Interment will be in the St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca. Friends may call at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, WI on Thursday evening from 5:00 – 8:00 PM, and at the church on Friday, one hour prior to the time of the mass. A Prayer Service will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca on Thursday evening at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Victor W. Hanneman. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI is assisting the family with arrangements.
