Vilas Huerth's Obituary
VILAS R. HUERTH
PINE RIVER, WISCONSIN Age 79, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, January 7, 2012 at his home in Pine River, WI. He was born June 9, 1932 in Shell Lake, WI; son of Gilman and Mable (Boury) Huerth. On January 24, 1959, Vilas married Shirley Shreve in Rockford, IL. She preceded him in death on July 15, 2010. Vilas was a dairy farmer in the Poy Sippi area for most of his life. He enjoyed making wine and beer, camping, playing cards with his friends, shaking dice, and taking his dogs for rides in his car and golf cart. Vilas will be deeply missed by all of his family and many friends. Vilas is survived by:

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Gilman and Mable Huerth; his wife, Shirley Huerth; and one sister, Patricia Pinkston. A Memorial Service will be Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 11:00 AM at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi, WI. Pastor David Sielaff will officiate. A visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, Jan. 11, from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Poy Sippi and again on Thursday from 10:00 – 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will be at Poy Sippi Cemetery following the service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Food Pantry of Poy Sippi.
