Violet Gilbertson's Obituary
Violet E. Gilbertson, age 85, of Iola, formerly of Waupaca, passed away Thursday, July 26th, 2007 at Iola Living Assistance. She was born in Iola, Wisconsin on November 27, 1921, the daughter of Silas and Edna (Rierson) Johnson. Violet married Rueben Gilbertson on April 6, 1940 in the Town of New Hope. He preceded her in death. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church Iola, Wisconsin. Violet is survived by Son: Gene (Donna) Gilbertson, Mosinee, Wisconsin; Daughter: Judy (Phil) Barley, Waupaca, Wisconsin; Seven Grandchildren; Twenty-seven Great Grandchildren and a Sister: Ruby Hedtke, Bear Creek, Wisconsin. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Rueben Gilbertson, and a brother, Vernon Johnson. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca at 1 PM on Saturday, July 28th, 2007 with Intern Pastor Elizabeth Mascal officiating. Interment will be in Lind Center Cemetery, Town of Lind, Wisconsin. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the service.
