Virginia Mae Lockery's Obituary
Virginia Mae (Ginny) Lockery, 88, of King, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 17, 2018. Virginia was born in Seymour, WI on May 15,1930. She graduated from Seymour High School. Virginia was married to Donald Ralph Lockery on September 15,1951; they were married 55 years. Virginia worked as a librarian as work therapy at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for 17 years. She enjoyed reading, doing puzzles, and playing card games with her family. She was very active and enjoyed many activities at King.
Virginia is survived by her children, Beth (Tom) Addy and Brian (Therese) Lockery, granddaughters, Lauren Addy and Morgan (Robert) Dutton, grandson Craig (Amber) Hernandez, great grandchildren Waylon and Leah, son-in-law William Hernandez, and her sister Betty Nelson, and other family and friends. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband Donald, son Daniel Lockery, daughter Barbara Hernandez.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to your local animal shelter or favorite pet charity. Virginia loved animals and enjoyed their company.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, December 28th at the Chapel at the Wisconsin Veterans Home, King, WI. Chaplain John Roe will be officiating. Visitation will begin at 11:00am in the chapel prior to the service. Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Appleton, WI in the spring.
