Walter K. Bicknase's Obituary
Walter “Butch” K. Bicknase, age 67, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at his home in Northridge, CA. He was born May 6, 1948 in Elgin, IL; son of Walter H. and Esther (Jauhola) Bicknase. After graduating high school, Butch joined the U.S. Army and served during Vietnam War from October 16, 1967 – May 24, 1970. He will be deeply missed by all of his loving family and friends.
Butch is survived by his children: Barbara Radtke of Port Edwards, WI, Susan Strong of Plover, WI, and Adam (Jennifer) Bicknase of Stevens Point, WI; grandchildren: Brittany Stewart, Jeff Radtke, Savanna Radtke, Emily Strong, Eric Strong, Kaleb Bicknase, and Landon Bicknase; one great-grandson, Gabriel; special friend, Marcy Seegar of Northridge, CA; three sisters, Linda (David) Dombrowski of Amherst Jct., WI, Karen Dombrowski of Amherst Jct., WI, and Sandra (Bruce) Groshek of Amherst, WI; one brother, Wayne (Maureen) Bicknase of Tucson, AZ; five half-sisters, Ruth Hoover, Dorothy (Harry) Elvey, Grace (Steve) Krstich, Donna Feitsma, and Nancy Reese; and three half-brothers, Earl (Harleen) Bicknase, Richard (Karen) Bicknase, and Robert (Carol) Dorband. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Esther Bicknase, and one brother, Michael Bicknase.
A Celebration of Butch’s Life will be held at a later date. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Amherst, WI. The Jungers-Holly Funeral Home of Amherst is assisting the family with arrangements.
