Wasyl Lannyk's Obituary
Wasyl Lannyk age 90, of Waupaca formerly of Chicago, passed away on Saturday June 5, 2010 in his home surrounded by family. He was born on March 3, 1920 in Radosczyce Poland. Wasyl married Maria (Kucynda) Lannyk in April 1946 in Muenster, Germany.
Wasyl is survived by his son William (Theresa) Lannyk of Waupaca; two grandsons Nicolas J. Lannyk of Weyauwega, and William H. (Nicole) Lannyk of Weyauwega; two great grandchildren James Lannyk, and Malayna Lannyk of Weyauwega; two nieces Rosie Steiner and Betty Lincio, and one brother-in-law Steve Kucynda, many other nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
Wasyl was preceded in death by his wife Maria on September 25, 2009, and two brothers from Ukraine.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday June 9, 2010 at 11 a.m. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Father Jim Vennix will officiate, with burial to follow in the Sheridan Village Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 11 a.m.
