Wayne K. Johnson's Obituary
Mr. Wayne Kenneth Johnson, age 72, of Waupaca, Wisconsin, passed away Sunday, July 30th, 2006 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was born in Waupaca, Wisconsin on April 12, 1934, he was the son of the late Evan and Grace (Petersen) Johnson. On Nov 12, 1954, he married Jere Ann (Steck) Johnson in Columbus Georgia. Wayne was founder of Johnson Insurance in Waupaca in 1974. Family was important to Wayne; he enjoyed spending quality time with his children and grandchildren. Wayne & Jere also traveled to Sun City, Arizona each winter and to their cottage in Pelican Lake, Wisconsin each summer. Wayne was a member of the Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Waupaca and Shepherd of the Desert Church in Sun City. Wayne & Jere thoroughly enjoyed all the people they met wherever they traveled. Wayne was a member of the Waupaca Kiwanis and was the Man of the Year of the Waupaca Area Chamber of Commerce. Wayne served in the United States Army from 1953-1955. He is survived by Wife: Jere Johnson, Waupaca; Daughter: Teri (Jay) Moe, Waupaca; Sons: Chris (Kim) Johnson, Waupaca; Kevin (Nancy) Johnson, Waupaca; Pat (Rae) Johnson, Waupaca; Eleven Grandchildren Jared, Nathan & Griffin Moe; Mitchell & Jordan Johnson; Kyle, Alex & Garret Johnson; Ian, Zane & Zoe Johnson. Brother: Donald (Evie) Johnson, Waupaca. He was preceded in death by One Sister: Delores Johnson. A Memorial Service will be held at Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Waupaca on Thursday, Aug 3, 2006 at 3:00 P.M. The Reverend David Martin will officiate. Visitation will be held from 1-3 P.M. on Thursday at the church. Interment of cremains will be in the Lakeside Memorial Park Waupaca, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Waupaca and Shepherd of the Desert Church in Sun City, Arizona. Holly Funeral Home
