Wayne (Knobby) Nabbefeldt's Obituary
Wayne O. (Nobby) Nabbefeldt, age 77, of King, Wisconsin, formerly of Menasha, passed away Sunday, January 25th, 2009 at Riverside Medical Center, Waupaca, Wisconsin. Mr. Nabbefeldt was born in Freedom, Wisconsin on November 29, 1931, he was the son of the late Otto and Mathilda (Joos) Nabbefeldt. He was married to Marjorie Tulis in 1952. Wayne graduated from Menasha High School. He served in the Marines as a Sgt. in the Korean War. Wayne was a very quite person and liked the simple things in life. He worked in the printing industry for all of his life. He enjoyed working crossword puzzles, he was an avid Packer fan and enjoyed watching Notre Dame football and Marquette Basketball. He is survived by his Former Wife: Marjorie Nabbefeldt, Appleton; Sons: Michael (Pam) Nabbefeldt, Appleton; Marc (Angie) Nabbefeldt, Cleveland, TN; Marty (Darlene) Nabbefeldt, Neenah; Scott (Peggy) Nabbefeldt, Neenah; Grandchildren: Drew Nabbefeldt, Atlanta; Matthew Nabbefeldt, Cleveland, TN; Derek Nabbefeldt, Neenah; Nicole Nabbefeldt, Neenah; Sister: Jean (Arlan) Larsen, Menasha. Wayne was preceded in death by Brother: Lyle Nabbefeldt. Memorial Service will be held at Wisconsin Veterans Home-Ainsworth Hall Chapel at King at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 28th, 2009. Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday from 12 noon-1:00 P.M. at the chapel. Interment of cremains will be in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery King, Wisconsin. The family would like to thank the staff at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for the excellent care provided to Wayne while he was a resident. As a young person, Wayne delivered the Twin City News Record in Menasha and after a long and successful career in the printing business, he finished his career by delivering the mail and news at the Wisconsin Veterans Home at King just as he had began his working career as a young boy.
