I had the privilege to work with Wayne when he worked as a financial counselor at FISC. We at FISC were all shocked and saddened to learn of Wayne's death, unexpected so soon. Wayne was a caring and just plain nice person. He frequently had us laughing with his sharp sense of humor. I remember him in his office, planning special getaways with his wife, asking for ideas on different places. I remember him going out and starting my car on very cold winter evenings when we were working. I remember him buying us all lunch. I know he helped many many people in his lifetime. I met Wayne in Atlantic City, NJ while attending training at a National Conference to become a Veteran Service Officer. He was such a nice guy with a great sense of humor. Although we both took our training very seriously, we managed to include some fun and memorable moments. I was fortunate to see Wayne once again, at this year's National Conference. It was great seeing him and meeting his wife, Pam.
My heart and prayers go out to Pam and family. Wayne was a great guy and I will miss seeing him and sharing laughs at our future conferences.
