Wayne E. Simons' Obituary
Wayne Simons, age 66 passed away Thursday morning, June 20th, at home after a courageous 3 year battle with pancreatic cancer. Wayne was born in Freeport, IL to John and Marian Simons. They moved to the Wild Rose area when he was in his teens and he graduated from Wild Rose High School where he met his wife Vicki. Wayne was known to many as a man who built beautiful homes and took great pride in his work. He will be greatly missed by family and friends and all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Vicki; daughter, Jamie(Andy) Birenbaum; Granddaughter, Karley; Granddog Milo. He is further survived by sisters, Vicki(Keith) Carpenter; Joanne(Jerry) Hale; brothers, Dean(Janice) Simons; Jim Simons; John Simons; Donnie(Linda) Simons; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marian; sisters, Bonnie, Dorothy and Corrine; brothers, Norman, Gene, Ralph and Edward.
In keeping with Wayne’s wishes, there will be no funeral. Family graveside services will be at a later date at Oak Hill Cemetery in Wild Rose.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Weiss and his staff at Theda Care Hematology Oncology Clinic in Appleton and Waupaca. Thank you to ThedaCare Hospice for being there. A very special thank you to Angela Thoma. Holly Funeral Home in Wild Rose is assisting the family with arrangements.
