William Boyce's Obituary
William Byron (Bill) Boyce Waupaca, WI – age 75, passed away June 15, 2009 at Riverside Medical Center in Waupaca. He was born June 25, 1933 in Waupaca, WI to Joyce Hazel and Levi Walker Boyce. He lived and attended school in Waupaca. After high school Bill joined the Air Force, which he made his career serving in the Korean and Vietnam War as a Staff Sergeant. He retired after 23 years of service to his country. He then went on to drive semi trucks for a profession. Bill married Florine Leger in 1956. From that marriage came three beautiful children: Toot, Vicky, and Bobby (Jamie). They were later divorced. He married Patricia Davis and gained five stepchildren: Mike (Leslie) Galloway, Bob (Lori) Galloway, Robin Wing, Denise Scott, and Dawn (Kelly) Lind. Bill truly enjoyed his corncob pipe, a good beer and his pontoon boat. His pets and his yard also brought him great pleasure. Bill is survived by his wife, Patricia; two children: Vicky Turner (Ogden, UT) and Bobby (Jamie) Boyce (Denver, CO); six grandchildren: Stephen and Katey Turner, Jake, Joe and Josh Boyce, and Mikey Scott; five stepchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; and three step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Chauncey, and one son, Toot. Graveside services and military honors will be held on Tuesday, June 23 at 11:00 a.m. at Lakeside Memorial Park Cemetery in Waupaca, WI. A visitation will be held from 9:30 - 10:45 am Tuesday at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca, WI assisted the family with arrangements.
