William Christensen's Obituary
WILLIAM “BILL” M. CHRISTENSEN
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN Age 80 passed away at his home surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 24, 2007. He was born January 2, 1927 in Weyauwega, WI; son of Christian A. and Marie (Petersen) Christensen. Bill served in WWII from 1945 – 1947. On October 2, 1948, Bill married Nedra A. Riley in Scobey, MT. They moved to the Waupaca area in 1961 where they farmed until 1988. After retiring, Bill continued playing the drums for the Polka Kings. He was a member of the American Legion Post of King, WI and an active member of the National Farmer’s Organization from 1963 until his retirement in 1988. He also was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church – Lanark. Bill’s family, farming, and playing the drums were his passions. He will be missed by all. Bill is survived by:

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, one grandson, one son-in-law, one sister, and seven brothers. A Funeral Mass will be on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Almond, WI. Father James Kurzynski and Father Daniel Farley will preside. A visitation will be held on Tuesday evening, Feb. 27, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca with a Rosary Service to be held at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A visitation will also be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Lanark following the services on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to Theda Care At Home Hospice. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements. The family is extremely grateful for the warm, loving and tender care given by Jami Carlovsky from Theda Care At Home Hospice. The care Bill received will never be forgotten. HOLLY FUNERAL HOME
