William (Tater) Adshead's Obituary
William (Tater) Adshead, age 84 of Almond passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 27, 2011 under the care of hospice at Stevens Point Care Center. He was born March 4, 1927 in Egg Harbor, NJ. He resided the majority of his adult life in Almond, WI. Tater was well known for being a potato broker hence the nickname Tater. Tater served his country during WW II by enlisting in the US Navy shortly after attaining the age of 17. He was a member of the Waushara VFW Post #6007. He is survived by his sister, Phyllis (Susie) Haslett and her husband, Harvey, his niece Sue Spincic and her husband, Allen and son Tom, and his nephew Dr. Harvey Haslett III and his wife, Diane and daughters Kirsten & Stephanie, all reside in N.J. He is also survived by special friends, Jim (Chip) and Dawn Robinson, Nekoosa, Jeremy & Amy Robinson with their daughter Addison, Kellner and Nancy Holden, Plainfield, along with many friends in Wisconsin, Florida, New Jersey and North Carolina. He will be sorely missed by all. He was preceded in death by his parents, James & Bessie Adshead, his brother, James Jr and Leon Holden. Tater wished to express his sincere gratitude to Amy and Patti who took care of his needs though this difficult time. There will be a Memorial Service in his honor on Friday, Nov. 4 at 11 AM at the Hardell-Holly Funeral Home in Almond with Full Military Rites to follow in the Almond Village Cemetery. Friends are welcome to gather one hour before the memorial service.
