William Woolsey's Obituary
William Woolsey Sr., age 82, of Waupaca, WI, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2005 while in the company of family members at Crystal River Nursing & Rehab. Center.
Bill was born in the Town of Lind, Waupaca Co. WI on October 7, 1922, the son of the late Joseph and Anna (Stanley) Woolsey. He worked at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for many years. On July 19, 1945 he married Arlene Prentice in Weyauwega. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Ship's Cook 2nd Class in the World War II. He also served in the U.S. Army. Bill is survived by his wife: Arlene Margaret Woolsey, of Waupaca, WI; his children: Roy William (Bill) Woolsey, Waupaca, WI; Mary Kay Woolsey, Waupaca, WI; his Grandchildren: Deborah Woolsey, Nashotah, WI; Anne (Jim) McPherson, Waupaca, WI; Samuel Woolsey, Waupaca, WI and Sarah Woolsey, Waupaca, WI; a brother: Robert E. Lee (Lorraine) Woolsey, Anchorage, Alaska and his sisters: Beulah Faeling, Waupaca, WI; Ruth Peterson, Waupaca, WI and Josephine Pope, of Florida. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Terry Woolsey, and a brother, Fred Woolsey.
Graveside services will be at Lind Center Cemetery at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 2, with Deborah Woolsey, officiating. Full Military rites will follow.
Visitation will be held on Friday eve. from 5 to 8 PM at Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. VFW services will be at 7:30 PM .
