WILLIAM “BILL” L. ZEMPEL
WAUPACA, WISCONSIN Age 85 passed away on Friday, January 26, 2007 at Bethany Home in Waupaca. He was born April 12, 1921 in the Town of Dayton, Waupaca Co., WI; son of Leo and Carrie (Larsen) Zempel. On March 10, 1942, Bill married Gladys Moran in Waupaca. After retirement, Bill enjoyed woodworking and restoring old tractors. He enjoyed helping his neighbors, assisting with the Crystal Lake Cemetery, and serving his community. Bill was a member of the First Baptist Church of Waupaca. Bill is survived by:

Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Margaret (Charles) Kinison, and three brothers-in-law, Ernst Marquard, Dale Bonnell, and Lyle Suhs. A Funeral Service will be on Monday, January 29, 2007 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Waupaca. Reverend Larry G. Gross will officiate. A visitation will be held on Sunday evening, Jan. 28, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca and also one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church. Burial will be at Crystal Lake Cemetery in the Town of Dayton following the services on Monday. A memorial has been established in the name of William L. Zempel.
