Yvonne Wedell's Obituary
Yvonne Wedell (Meske) of Waupaca, WI was called to her heavenly home on August 31, 2025. She was born on July 20, 1941 in Milwaukee to Victor and Norma (Dittmar) Meske.
Yvonne grew up in Milwaukee and later years worked at Bell Telephone Company Milwaukee and West Allis Memorial in West Allis.
In 1987 Yvonne married Ronald Wedell and moved to Waupaca. In 1992 Ronald and Yvonne moved to their dream home “Honey Acres”.
Early in their marriage Yvonne worked at the Grand Seasons Hotel in Waupaca for 13 years.
She had a passion for working in her yard and flower garden and feeding the birds. She had a passion for cooking and baking. Her treats were always delicious. She enjoyed restoring old furniture and decorating her country home “Cozy Country”.
Yvonne was a faithful member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Norma Meske, a sister – Dorothy and a brother – Howard.
Yvonne is survived by her Husband: Ronald Wedell; Children: Todd (Patti) Roberts; Lynette Hansen; Heather (Dan) Sprenger; Step-Children: Jeff (Jenny) Wedell; Tammy (Mike) Edelen; Donna (Mike) Pica and 8 Grandchildren. She is further survived by brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Yvonne was a very special lady and will be greatly missed.
To celebrate and honor Yvonne’s life, a Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 12:00 (Noon) at Trinity Lutheran Church in Waupaca, with Reverend Andy Behrendt, officiating. To watch live stream clickhere. Interment of cremains will be in the Sheridan Village Cemetery, Town of Farmington, Waupaca County, WI. Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, from 10:30 AM until the time of the service at the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established for Tiny Treasures Preschool at Trinity Lutheran Church.
