To Melanie and Michael: My sympathy goes out to you and your families. Both my brothers Glenn and Ronn Lindert notified me of your father's passing. I felt very compelled to write a message even though you two were very young when we were neighbors in Cambria, WI. Your parents were very encouraging to me when I was in high school and I always considered them as one of the top teachers that I had in my many years of formal education. I did graduate from UW- Stevens Points with two different degrees at two different times. I played 4 varsity sports and later coached cross-country & Track at UW-Stevens Point. I'm now retired after a 25 year Army career & living in North Carolina where my husband and I golf regularly & travel. I look back now and see how various people positively impacted my life. I will always be grateful to your Dad for encouraging me to go to Stevens Point. It was definitely a great start to a very successful, fulfilling career. Deborah (Lindert) Shaw
