I met Carl & Jody back in Ellsworth AFB back in 1978, meeting Carl was to this young Air Force recruit the most refreshing, warm, honest, down home experience that has to this day endeared me a lifetime. None better, I know that Heaven has one of the truly best angels, God Bless & Love You,,,,My Friend!
I met Carl's wife, Jody, which we were in Basic Training at Lackland, AFB, TX in 1972. Our friendship continued on while we were stationed (permanent party) at Keesler, AFB, Biloxi, MS...and I was Jody's Maid of Honor, when they married on 12 June 1975. Our friendship has been ongoing to this day, and my last visit with Jody, up in WI was in Sep 2021. During our phone converation on Tuesday, Aug 30th, Jody mentioned that Carl loved Pine Trees. I will be researching via. the Arbor Day Foundation or Penny Pines (that restores our national forests) for suggestions on how to donate in Carl's memory with planting pine trees.
May God grant Jody and Carl's extended family with God's gift of Peace during this difficult time.
