Charles F. (Pete Jr.) Hazelwood III's Obituary
Charles F. (Pete Jr.) Hazelwood, III, age 56, of Racine, passed away Wednesday, July 6th, 2005 at the cabin on the lake in Weyauwega. Pete Jr. was born in Schenectady, New York on May 26, 1949, he was the son of Charles F. (Pete Sr.) Hazelwood II and the late Marilyn (Weitlich) Hazelwood. Pete graduated from Horace High School in 1967 in Chappaqua, New York. He received his Bachelors and Masters in Business Administration from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Pete was an Eagle Scout, played the saxophone in the SMU marching band, and was a member of Phi Kappa Alpha. After graduation he joined his father in developing Concept Associates, Inc., a management-consulting firm. He traveled the world putting on seminars on decision-making and problem solving. He authored two books used in their workshops. He loved bowling, golfing, deer hunting at Buck Hill, fishing, and watching birds at White Lake in Weyauwega. He is survived by his Wife: Katherine (Hubing) Hazelwood of 29 years, Racine; Daughters: Megan Hazelwood-Noel, Tacoma, WA; Missy Hazelwood, Marshfield; Stepson: Travis (Katie) Jorgensen, Weyauwega; and two grandchildren whom he really loved - Collin & Lauren; Father: Charles (Pete Sr.) Hazelwood II, Sarasota, FL/ Weyauwega; Brother: Hap (Chris) Hazelwood, Winter Haven, FL; Brother in law: Steve Hubing, Granton, WI; in -laws: Elaine & Ralph Dorow, Marshfield; Wendell & Carol Hubing, Granton. Surviving Nieces and Nephews include: Becca and Andy Jarznski of Eau Claire; Kate and Jeff Petersen of Door County; Kristen and Andy Marello of Jacksonville, FL; Michael and Gina Hazelwood of Windermere, FL; Kelly Hazelwood of Winter Haven, Fl; Kevin Hazelwood of Winter Haven FL; and Kari Hazelwood of Tallahassee, FL. He was preceded in death by his Mother: Marilyn and Paternal and Maternal grandparents. A Memorial Service will be held at First Presbyterian Church, 200 S. Pine Streeet, Weyauwega, Wisconsin on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation be held at the church from 10-11 A.M. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established.
