The worst pain anyone can live is to see some loved one go. Impotence in the face of death is what reminds us that we are human, and realize how fragile life is.
Despite suffering, one must deal with death with strength and courage. One must think that although this dear person is no longer with us, love never goes away. Love and good memories always remain after death.
Live your mourning, cry, suffer. But know that you will never be alone in your pain. Look at the sky and be sure there is a star up there shining and illuminating each of your steps.
Although Douglas and I didn't know you long, we did have the great opportunity of spending a great evening with you and your wife Bobbi and your little puppy at the Golf course. We shared a lot of laughs that night, and you left a great impression on us both. To Dan's family, as recent as three weeks ago I too lost my father unexpectedly, I take peace in knowing that he lived his life, doing everything his way and enjoying every minute of it.
