Daniel J. Yonke's Obituary
Daniel James Yonke died unexpectedly on July 21st, 2017 at the age of 55. Dan was born in Neenah, Wisconsin on March 22, 1962 to Herbert and Karen Yonke. He graduated from Menasha High School in 1981 and worked as a mechanic throughout his life. On July 4, 2016, he married Bobbi, the love of his life. Dan was a loving husband, father, brother, and son. He followed his passion for cars in his business, Yonke Motorsports and stock car racing. He enjoyed being outdoors fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, four-wheeling, and spending time with family and friends around a bonfire. A prior resident of Spokane, Washington, Dan recently moved back home to Wisconsin with his wife. Dan had a great sense of humor and will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him. Hope you’re racing your heart out and livin’ your dream up in heaven.
Dan is survived by his wife, Bobbi Yonke; his mother, Karen Yonke; his children, Sara and Amber Yonke; his step-children, Ashley, Terrance and Isaiah; step-grandson, Carson; his siblings, David and Janet Yonke, Diana and Joe Schneider; and his uncle and aunts, Jim Nelson, Nancy Nelson, and Marsha Lubeck. He is preceded in death by his father, Herbert Yonke; his grandparents, Elmer and Norma Yonke, James and Gladys Nelson; and his uncle and aunt, Gerald “Tubs” and Joyce Sweetalla.
A Memorial Gathering is scheduled from 4:00pm to 6:00pm and will conclude with a short service on Thursday July 27th at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca.
