David R. Hintz Jr.'s Obituary
Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and Friend, Dave Hintz Jr., 71, entered Heaven on May 13, 2017 to be with his Heavenly Father, friends and family.
Dave is survived by his wife Jennifer (Britton) Hintz of Amherst, Daughter Nicole Shulfer of Middleton, WI (son-in-law Steve, grandchildren Bailey, Peyton, Tyson), Daughter Heather Darnell of Wauwatosa, WI (son-in-law Brad, grandchildren Brady and Carson), Siblings Robert Hintz (Betty Hintz), Rita Kozlowski (Brian Kozlowski), Roman Hintz (Sue Hintz), and nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father David Hintz Sr., and mother Nettie Hintz.
Dave was born on April 3rd, 1946 in Stevens Point, WI to David and Nettie Hintz. He graduated from Amherst High School in 1964, attended UW-LaCrosse until he joined and served time in the Army, married Jennifer Britton in 1969, and was employed at the Amherst Telephone Co. for 47 years.
Dave touched the lives of many people with his sense of humor, great stories and always gave all of himself without expecting anything in return. He loved spending time with his family, dancing, and singing, was an avid hunter, enjoyed anything Wisconsin Badgers, and loved the Lord.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday May 19, 2017 at 11 A.M. at St. James Catholic Church in Amherst. Father Dan Hackel will officiate, with burial to follow at the Greenwood Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Friday at church from 9:30 until 11 A.M.
The family would like to thank the staff of Willow Brooke Point Senior Living and Heartland Hospice for their compassion and care for Dave. We are also so grateful for our friends who gave so generously of themselves for our family. Everyone has been a huge blessing to us all.
