Dr.Scherwinski was an outstanding anesthesiologist, with an excellent demeanor, unflappable in any circumstance, who took care of his patient always. In so many conversations ruminating about all current events, I looked forward with great appreciation for his wonderful perspective. He will be looked after by our Lord in heaven assuredly. He will be missed by all; he was unquestionably a positive influence on life. My deepest condolences to his wife Cathy, and the entire Scherwinski family. My prayers are with you all.

Throughout our professional association his energetic leadership and self-effacing style helped me to appreciate professionalism far beyond knowledge.

Dave was a carpenter in disguise as a Dr. Having Dave and Cathy as next door neighbors for several wonderful years, we watched Dave accomplish all the requirements to become a Dr. To releive stress, he would build. Unfortunately, he built a big, heavy wood table in the basement!! I was a young 50 year old who got to help him get that table out of the basement!! It is one of our favorite memories. We will miss him so much.
