Dennis “Denny” Jeffrey King, age 66 of Amherst, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at Aspirus St. Michael’s in Stevens Point, WI. He was born on January 4, 1955; son of the late Donald and Dorothy (Lemke) King in Almond, WI. On November 6, 1999, he married Margaret Laskowski in Amherst, WI.
Denny loved his country, enjoyed shooting his guns, riding his motorcycle, fishing and going to rummage sales. He loved his time with his family and playing with his dog, Charlie. Denny had a great sense of humor, had a nickname for everyone he loved.
Denny is survived by his wife and best friend; Margaret King, daughters; Lorie (John) Kaehler of Woodbury, MN; Donna (Paul) Starry of Waupaca, WI; Sara (fiancé Brandon Konkol) McCarthy of Stevens Point, WI; Molly (Chris Bella) McCarthy of Stevens Point, WI; grandchildren; Natalie, Drew, Lainey, Bryce, Mitchell, Ellie, Cole, Carlie, Jaren, Devin, Tristan, Cooper; his dog, Charlie; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Susan King; brothers, Donn, Doug and Dave.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, October 28th, 2021 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, Almond, WI. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in the Town of Lanark.
