I was best friends with Diane's sister Linda, who preceded Diane in death. We had so many fun times with Diane! She would drive us around in her little black Corvair that was affectionately named "the guppy". She was a wonderful big sister to Linda and just a great person. My sympathies to the whole family during this difficult time.

The Deist family were neighbors of the Statz family in Fort Atkinson. My sister, Judy Statz, was best friends with Linda Deist. Growing up, I thought their house on Banker Road was a mansion with the front pillars and circular driveway.

I am SO saddened to see that Diane has passed. So difficult for mom (Joanne) having to bury her second daughter in the family plot. I wish I could be there to share with the family, know that I will be there in spirit and love. Hugs to each of you in the loss of your mom, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. When I think of Diane, I think of piss and vinegar. We were always laughing in her presence. She was funny even when she didn't try. She loved her job and all the children she taught. She will be greatly missed. Kelly Belter
