Dan H. Fifield, age 54, of Wild Rose, WI passed away Saturday, February 9th, 2008 in Wild Rose. He was born in Brawley, CA on September 11, 1953, the son of Arthur Thomas and Ray (Barnett) Fifield. Dan was a graduate of Autonomous Read Obituary
Dr. Fifield will be sorely missed. He genuinely cared for his patients. Many are the times I recall him coming into Wautoma Care Center in his tee shirt, jeans and sandals to see one of his patients over and above the obligatory monthly visit. His patients were more than an illness, they were more like family. The loving considerate care he gave came from the heart. It was obvious he loved what he did and he was excellent. I will miss his ready smile and his free spirit.
Dan was a wonderful physician who truly was interested in his patients. I enjoyed working with him for many years. His support of the state trauma plan and the beneficial effects it has on the rural communities of Wisconsin will be a lasting legacy of Dan's vision.

My deepest sympathy to Dan's family and friends. Dan was a key component in the provision of quality medical care to rural medicine. His commitment of time and energy to the development of trauma care, and his service to the Fox Valley Regional Trauma Advisory Council will be remembered and greatly missed.
Hi Lorna, Hope that you are coping in this hard time. I told Jan to tell you I have been thinking about you. Dr Dan was a special doctor and I'll never forget when I got to take off his wart before he did mine. I know that he will be missed greatly!

I meant to send you a card but like many good intentions it never came to fruition.
It doesn't seem as long as it has been since I worked with all of you. Most of my memories of the two of you are not work related, which I guess is a good thing. Like his memoriam says, he was a great guy to treat everyone equally and respect them whether they came to him for medical reasons or just encountered him on the street. I am glad that you two had the years you had together. I know you were both good for each other!! Give me a call or e-mail sometime. Maybe we can get together sometime when I am back in the area.
