Dr. Dan Fifield's Obituary
Dan H. Fifield, age 54, of Wild Rose, WI passed away Saturday, February 9th, 2008 in Wild Rose. He was born in Brawley, CA on September 11, 1953, the son of Arthur Thomas and Ray (Barnett) Fifield. Dan was a graduate of Autonomous University of Guadalajara, Mexico. A Board Certified Family Practice Physician, he completed a one-year internship at Winthrop University Hospital in Mineola, New York, and a three-year residency with Wausau Family Practice in Wausau, WI. He also holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Oregon in Eugene. He married Lorna Casey on March 6, 1996 on the Island of Kauai. Dan is survived by his Wife: Lorna Fifield, Wild Rose, WI; Daughters: Rosa Fifield, El Centro, CA; Roisin Fifield, San Diego, CA; Clare Fifield, San Francisco, CA; Step-sons: Jesse Riegert, Drummond, WI; Logan Riegert, Wild Rose, WI; Granddaughters: Samanta Fifield, El Centro, CA; Amaya Kuehn; Mother: Ray Fifield, San Diego, CA; Brother: Todd (April) Fifield, Los Angeles, CA; Former Spouse: Phyllis Fifield, Sante Fe, NM. He is further survived by a niece, two nephews, other relatives, and many close friends. Dan was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Michael. A Celebration of Life will held at 4 PM on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Wild Rose High School Auditorium with friends conducting the service. A private family interment of cremains will be held at a later date. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 PM on Wednesday at the Wild Rose Elementary School gymnasium and on Thursday at the High School Auditorium from 2 PM until the time of the service. The Holly Funeral Home of Wild Rose assisted the family with arrangements. Dan was a rare and remarkable man who touched many lives. He made a difference because he treated everyone with dignity and respect regardless of their color, the size of their pocketbook or their station in life, simply because they were human. Let's all strive to be a little more like him. Let that be his legacy to us.
