Eleanor V. Schmidt, age 92, of Wautoma, formerly of Wild Rose, passed away on Saturday, March 21st, 2015 Heartland House in Wautoma. She was born in Woodland, WI, on April 20, 1922, a daughter of the late Gustav and Emma (Schultz) Read Obituary
Aunt Eleanor became my sponsor when I became Catholic, before my marriage, in 1968. She & I went on a summer vacation together to Michigan in the early 80's. We did a lot of site seeing and had a good time. During that week I learned a lot about my mother, Ruth and the rest of the family while my mother and her sisters were growing up. A couple of other summers I spent a week at Aunt Eleanor & Uncle Bob's house in Wild Rose. I always looked forward to visiting them. Although I hadn't seen Aunt Eleanor in several years, I will miss her. It's a comfort to me that Uncle Bob and her 4 sisters welcomed her in Heaven.
