Eleanor V. Schmidt's Obituary
Eleanor V. Schmidt, age 92, of Wautoma, formerly of Wild Rose, passed away on Saturday, March 21st, 2015 Heartland House in Wautoma. She was born in Woodland, WI, on April 20, 1922, a daughter of the late Gustav and Emma (Schultz) Gerwing.
She married Robert P. Schmidt on January 20, 1944 in Hartford, WI. He preceded her in death on December 13, 2000. Eleanor and her husband, Robert owned and operated the Wild Rose Drive-in from 1972 until 1982.
Survivors include her Children: Stanley (Rosie) Schmidt, Elk River, MN; Steven (Deb) Schmidt, Mesa, AZ; Stuart (Barbara) Schmidt, TN; Stafford Schmidt, Fond du Lac, WI; Stacy (Dolly) Schmidt, Englewood, FL; Sterling (Kathy) Schmidt, Two Rivers, WI; Stanton (Josephine) Schmidt, Wild Rose, WI; Star (Rob) Irvin, Princeton, WI; 31 Grandchildren; 51 Great Grandchildren; 1 Great Great Grandchild; Sister: Erna Wedde, Wautoma, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband - Robert, and three sisters - Lena, Selma and Ruth.
Funeral Services will be held at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca, at 11 AM on Monday, March 23rd, 2015. Visitation will be held on Monday, from 10 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.
As per Eleanor's wishes, she will be cremated following the services.
