Eugene Scharrer's Obituary
EUGENE S. SCHARRER
WILD ROSE, WISCONSIN Age 68, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at his home in Wild Rose, WI. He was born August 17, 1942 in West Bend, WI; son of Franklin and Bernice (Weber) Scharrer. On October 17, 1964, Gene married Sharon Heilgendorf in Friestadt, WI. Gene was the Director of Operations for Road Ready Trucking Company in Wausau before his retirement in 2008. Gene became a follower of Christ in 1984 and it became both his and Sherrie’s passion to volunteer their time at the Christian Life Fellowship Church in Port Edwards, WI. His time was spent in multiple ministries, including youth, choir, missions, elder, etc. Gene and Sherrie also served as house parents for a period of four years for the Rawhide Boy’s Ranch. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gunsmithing, cheering for the Packers, and especially spending time with his grandchildren. Gene was a member of the Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Waupaca, WI. Two Sons: Bart (Amy) Scharrer of Muskego, WI
Todd (Christin) Scharrer of Plymouth, WI
Six Grandchildren: Caleb, Allyson, Brooklynn, Elliana, Brynna & Ashlynn
Sister: Karen (Ole) Erickson of Milwaukee, WI
Father-in-law: Raymond Heilgendorf of Redgranite, WI
Brother-in-law: Gordon (Nanci) Heilgendorf of Germantown, WI
Also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Franklin and Bernice Scharrer; a brother, George Scharrer; and his mother-in-law, Ruth Heilgendorf. A Memorial Service will be on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the Shepherd of the Lakes Church in Waupaca, WI. Reverend Dean Wheeler will officiate. A visitation will be on Wednesday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in the name of Eugene S. Scharrer.
