Miss Kolka was my 4th grade teacher at the French School east of Redgranite for the school year 1951/1952. What I remember most about her is all the wonderful arts and crafts projects that she helped us do. She was also a very good teacher and had a wonderful personality. She was an excellent influence on all of us.She lived with one of the farm families about 1/2 mile from the school.
Miss Kolka was my teacher at Coloma Grade School. It's been almost 60 years, but I still think of her. Of all my teachers, I think I loved her the most.
Miss Kolka was my beautiful first grade teacher at Rice School. I was the only first grader. I learned a lot from watching her teach the other students-1st through 8th grade. I remember the Christmas program, making candles and recess. I feel lucky to have started school in her one room school.
Evelyn Kolka was my 5th grade teacher at Coloma Grade School. I believe I learned the most that year then any other. She pretty much let us work at our own speed and had great lesson plans, She left after that year and I was disappointed to find she would not be my 6th grade teacher on returning in the fall. Thank you, Evelyn (Miss Kolka) for that year. RIP
