I met Gilbert during Covid-19 making phone calls in our community and doing wellness checks around Waupaca. Gil was very upset about Covid and in general world conditions. He couldn’t attend church for quite a while because of restrictions…but went more often then most people do!
He enjoyed the Bible and we liked talking about the Lord’s Prayer…and what God’s Kingdom would accomplish in the future. Learning that the earth would become a paradise in the future and he could enjoy his flowers and beautiful garden brought him much comfort.
We even enjoyed writing letters or cards to each other to keep in touch. I called him this morning…and his phone was disconnected…I knew something was wrong.
My name is Jeff and along with my wife Kathleen we want to send our sincere condolences to his daughter and family. We hope your memories of Gil will make your heart happy during this sad time.
