Janet M. Fink's Obituary
Janet M. (Jan) Fink, age 67, of Ogdensburg, WI passed away on Saturday, June 19, 2010 surrounded by her family at her residence. Jan was born in Milwaukee, WI on October 31, 1942, the daughter of Walter and Mary (Poyer) Plaisance. She graduated from St. Agnes School of Nursing. On August 7, 1965, Jan married John R. Fink in Fond du Lac. Together they owned and operated the Lighthouse Book and Office Supply in Waupaca for many years. Jan loved quilting, gardening, camping, traveling and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. Jan is survived by husband: John R. Fink, Ogdensburg, WI; her children: Chris (Ron) Womeldorf, Waupaca, WI; Tricia (Troy) Murphy, Green Bay, WI; Sheri (Pete) App, Green Bay, WI and John J. (Tamara) Fink, Kenosha, WI; her fourteen grandchildren: Andrew, Katie, Hannah, Ben, Lauren, Jacqlynn, Hailee, Allie, Jordyn, Logan, Olivia, Madeline, Morgan & Molly; her mother: Mary Plaisance, Mt. Calvary, WI; Sisters: Mary Kay (Bill) Emmons, Woodland Hills, California; Ellen (Tom) Crosbie, Crystal Lake, IL; Barb (Tom) Gottsacker, Menasha, WI; Annie (Bob) Sabel, Fond du Lac, WI; Brother: James (Pat) Plaisance, Fond du Lac, WI; Sisters-in-law: Kathy Plaisance, Sussex, WI; Mary Ellen Plaisance, Neenah, WI, and many nieces and nephews. Jan was preceded in death by her father, Walter, two brothers, Richard & Michael Plaisance and a sister, Jackie Peterson. A Celebration of Jan's Life will be on Thursday, June 24 at 12:30 PM at Faith Community Church in Waupaca with Pastor Troy Murphy, officiating. Per Jan's request, cremation will follow the services. A memorial visitation will be on Thursday morning from 10 AM until the time of services at the church. Over the years, John and Jan have enjoyed giving to various local and global missions. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be given to those that they have supported. Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
