Jeffrey J. Siewert's Obituary
Jeffrey John Siewert, age 64, of Waupaca, WI, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 21st, 2026 after a tragic unexpected illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Jeffrey was born in Eau Claire, WI on September 26, 1961, to late John and Joan (Lee) Siewert.
Jeffrey grew up in Altoona, WI, attending high school there where he graduated as salutatorian of his class in 1980. During high school he participated in and achieved numerous awards and distinctions in forensics and debate club which led him to pursue a career in law.
He attended Hamline University and law school as a presidential scholarship recipient. He went on to practice law in Wisconsin for over 30 years, retiring November, 2025.
He was a dedicated father to Caleb and Megan. Attending and supporting every practice, tournament, activity and numerous functions to continue to strengthen and build character as well as working with all aspects of their education to ensure their continued success.
Jeffrey had strong faith and enjoyed participating in the Thursday night study group and various church functions. He took great pride in helping with the development of Waupaca's first community dog park. Jeff was an avid reader, continuing to increase knowledge and awareness on many topics. He enjoyed planning vacations and exploring new adventures with his children.
He had extreme passion inside and outside of his law career with great conviction for doing good and standing up for what was morally right, and fighting for the rights of others.
Survivors include his Son: Caleb Siewert, Waupaca, WI; Daughter: Megan Siewert, Waupaca, WI; Sisters: Deb (Curt) Harlow, Mantorville, MN; Pam (Shawn) Rapp, Eau Claire, WI; Nephews: Derek; Michael (Katie); Jeremy; Justin; Great Nephew: Harrison; Great Niece: Anna Mae. Aunt Linda (Merlin) Reinolt, New Auburn, WI; Cousins: Mark (Wendi) Reinolt, Idaho; Stacy (Curt Gendron) Reinolt, NowThen, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Joan.
A Memorial Service will be held at The Lakes Church in Waupaca, WI at 1 PM on Wednesday, July 8th, 2026, with Pastor Logan Schwandt, officiating. Memorial Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 8th, from 12:00 (Noon) until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, family suggests memorials can be made to the Waupaca Dog Park/ToTo foundation (https://totofund.org) or The Lakes Church. The Holly Funeral Home of Waupaca is assisting the family with arrangements.
